🎭 Culture & Arts in Malta
Culture in Malta mostly means getting into the buildings and sites themselves — guided walks, museum evenings, talks and one-off openings, many of them run by Heritage Malta.
The archaeological sites carry a good share of the programme: equinox events at Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra, guided walks through the Tas-Silġ complex, and sessions at Għar Dalam. In the museums, the National Museum of Archaeology and the National Museum of Natural History run talks and family sessions, the Inquisitor's Palace in Birgu hosts lectures, and Fort St Elmo stages the In Guardia re-enactment. Museums by Candlelight opens sites in Mdina and Rabat after dark.
Gozo and the harbour towns are well represented too — Gran Castello Historic House in Victoria, the Ottoman Cemetery, and Heritage Malta's own offices at Bighi. A word of warning: the guided and small-group events book out early, and several on this page are already marked fully booked.
