DROGI - The Busker
DROGI transports spectators into a darkly comedic, futuristic landscape where contentment transforms into a quantifiable commodity—tracked, regulated, and packaged for profit. Merging performance art, song, and sharp wit, this production weaves together personal narrative and imaginative storytelling to examine why genuine joy feels so elusive in contemporary life. The piece challenges viewers to reconsider their relationship with happiness: how they measure it, how much they prize it, and what sacrifices they make in pursuit of it. Positioned at the intersection of music-theatre and cultural commentary, DROGI showcases material from The Busker's forthcoming record, Something in My Head. Through entertaining and intellectually stimulating scenes, the performance delves into how the ensemble members' inner lives, yearnings, and sense of self have informed their trajectory both collectively and personally.
