Events in Sliema

Sliema's event scene runs along its seafront, a long promenade of restaurants, bars and boat party departures at Sliema Ferries, with Teatru Salesjan hosting a regular programme of theatre just inland. It's less about landmarks than Valletta and more about where locals actually go for a night out, which makes it a good bet for restaurant events, pop-ups and waterfront festivals. Even with nothing booked, Sliema earns the visit on its own: the promenade is made for an evening stroll with views across to Valletta, the shopping around Tigné Point and Bisazza Street is the best on the island, and the cafés and bars along the front stay busy well into the night.
