Haydn & Schubert – Season Opening Concert

Attire: Black Tie The De Valette Chamber Orchestra launches its 2026/27 season alongside Teatru Manoel with a concert highlighting string instruments as the focal point. Celebrated French cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière, a 2017 Queen Elizabeth Competition laureate and 2018 Victoire de la Musique Classique winner for Best Instrumental Soloist, performs Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major, showcasing its refined and luminous character. The evening then transitions to Schubert's Death and the Maiden, a string quartet of profound emotional depth and striking intensity.
