Events in Mdina

Mdina, Malta's former capital, is known as the Silent City because it empties almost completely after dark. It doesn't host many events, but the ones it does are genuinely atmospheric: candlelit evenings inside the medieval walls, small concerts and art shows in spaces that have barely changed in centuries. And with or without an event, Mdina rewards a wander. Its narrow lamplit streets, the cathedral square and the bastion views across half the island make an evening here feel like stepping back a few hundred years, with a handful of restaurants and cafés tucked inside the walls to round it off.
