Wander Through Tas-Silġ
Tas-Silġ functioned as a sacred sanctuary spanning multiple historical periods. Throughout antiquity, pilgrims traveling from distant regions arrived at this location to pay homage to various gods, seeking divine protection for their voyages or offering gratitude for safe passage. Visitors also discharged religious obligations and honored personal commitments at the site. On September 27th, 2026, members of the public are welcome to participate in guided explorations that traverse the sanctuary's layered history and examine the ceremonial practices that defined each era of occupation. The tour will emphasize the site's cultural significance and distinctive character within Mediterranean civilization. Throughout the morning, four separate tours will take place: 9:00am in English, 10:00am in Maltese, 11:00am in English, and 12:00pm in Maltese. Advance online reservations are available through the Heritage Malta Store or tickets may be obtained at any Heritage Malta location. Attendees can register for notifications regarding event updates, including announcements of potential cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.
