Student Summer Programme 2026

Heritage Malta's Student Summer Programme 2026 offers children and families the chance to discover, participate in, and celebrate cultural heritage during their summer break. Rather than treating heritage institutions as destinations for school trips alone, the initiative positions Heritage Malta locations as inclusive environments where families can create lasting memories together. Spanning 25 distinct offerings from 29th June to 14th September at various historical venues and museums throughout Malta and Gozo, the programme welcomes participants aged 6 and above to expand their knowledge in engaging ways outside traditional schooling. All activities centre on heritage and incorporate elements of history, science, art, nature, and cultural practices, fostering imagination, inquisitiveness, analytical abilities, and innovative thinking. The programme prioritises direct involvement rather than passive observation. Participants engage actively through practical experiences including crafting artwork, investigating natural environments, mastering heritage crafts, uncovering historical narratives, and additional interactive pursuits.
