Malta’s Sustainable Development Action Days 2026: From Ideas To Impact!

Heritage Malta is welcoming young visitors aged six and up to participate in a special event on September 18th, 2026, celebrating Malta's Sustainable Development Action Days 2026 under the banner 'From Ideas To Impact!'. The gathering will take place at Wied Dalam, a lush historical ravine located below Għar Dalam Cave and Museum in Birżebbuġa, where attendees will learn about the valley's impressive environmental recovery. Visitors will hear about the comprehensive conservation initiatives that have restored the valley's ecological balance, learn which challenges arose during the process, explore the creative strategies employed to address them, and gain insight into forthcoming plans for the site. The day features a guided educational experience alongside three engaging workshops: 'Wied Dalam Nature Detectives', 'From Ice Age to Green Future', and 'Tree Planting'.
