On August 29th, between 10 and 11 o'clock in the morning, MUŻA presents an interactive session devoted to examining notable works from its print collection. Participants will engage with instructors to discover the diverse techniques and practices that define printmaking as an art form. The programme covers fundamental methods including etching, engraving, lithography, and woodcut, demonstrating how artists have employed these approaches throughout history. Discussion will emphasise printmaking's significance in art history, particularly regarding how it has facilitated the spread of knowledge, enabled creative innovation, and democratised visual culture. Those attending will develop a stronger understanding of prints as both skilfully executed objects and meaningful artistic statements. Please be aware that this workshop is designed as a standing experience requiring movement among the displayed pieces, though seating options are provided for those who need them.
