Light in Blue
As part of the Student Summer Programme, Light in Blue invites teenagers and young people aged 12+ to join a hands-on creative session at MUŻA on 18th August beginning at 10:00am. This workshop delves into photography's dual nature as both technological innovation and artistic expression, with a particular focus on the heritage and techniques of film-based image-making. Participants will explore historic cameras and film stock, gaining insight into how photographs were produced using analogue methods. The session combines practical activities in cyanotype printing and collage work, allowing attendees to engage directly with traditional approaches while creating their own pieces. By blending artistic practice with historical context, the workshop provides participants with hands-on experience in pre-digital photographic methods and the chance to produce original artwork using these time-honoured techniques. Registration costs €10 per person, with one accompanying adult included. Booking is available through the online ticketing system or at any Heritage Malta location.
