This jazz performance showcases material from Francesco Cavestri's latest recording, alongside a special commemoration honoring Miles Davis in the centennial year of his birth. Francesco Cavestri is a 23-year-old acclaimed jazz pianist, composer, and Steinway Artist based in Bologna who also works as an educator. He started learning piano at age 4 and completed his Jazz Piano degree from the Bologna Conservatory by age 20. During his time in the United States, he received two scholarships to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston and participated actively in New York's jazz community, subsequently earning additional funding to attend The New School. The ensemble brings together Francesco Cavestri on piano, Moreno Di Matteo providing bass, and Mattia Bassetti on drums.
