Collection in Focus – Prints
On August 14th, between 10am and noon, MUŻA will host an accessible workshop welcoming participants 14 years and older to examine carefully selected prints housed in the National Collection. The session combines instructive conversation with hands-on learning to introduce attendees to major printmaking methods including etching, engraving, lithography, and woodcut, demonstrating how artists have employed these approaches throughout history. The workshop emphasizes printmaking's significance in artistic development, from spreading concepts and encouraging creative innovation to democratizing visual culture. Participants will develop greater insight into prints as both technical accomplishments and meaningful artistic statements. Note that this is an interactive event requiring movement among the artworks on display, though seating will be provided for those who need it. Book your ticket online or visit any Heritage Malta location to purchase admission.
