Marking the conclusion of its 2025/26 season, the De Valette Chamber Orchestra presents a spectacular finale featuring two internationally acclaimed musicians—Carmine Lauri, former Principal Concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra, and Hansjörg Schellenberger, who served as principal oboe with the Berlin Philharmonic—performing together in this exceptional convergence of musical mastery. Opening the program is Mozart's spirited Symphony in E-flat major from his youth, succeeded by Schellenberger's rendition of Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major, an understated yet sophisticated composition, followed by Bach's Concerto for Oboe and Violin in C minor. Lauri commands attention with Fritz Kreisler's Violin Concerto in C major "In the Style of Vivaldi," a stunning tribute to the Baroque period that displays his luminous sound and technical precision. The program concludes with Mozart's Symphony No. 29 in A major—an energetic and elegant composition embodying Classical sophistication. This prestigious season-ending event delivers an evening of supreme artistry and virtuosic achievement, uniting two of the continent's most celebrated performers alongside the De Valette Chamber Orchestra in a remarkable musical occasion.
