THE ARCHIVE

TMYT, the official youth theatre organization of Malta, unveils The Archive—an innovative, actor-centered work conceived for adolescents and emerging performers. At the heart of this narrative stands Lou, whose existence we trace from birth through death in an intimate exploration of human experience. Residing within her consciousness is The Archive: a dynamic repository preserving every utterance, every wordless moment, and every concealed secret. Through this poignant and inventive staging, the company members transform into The Archivists—versatile performers who embody the voices and presences instrumental in constructing Lou's reality. The production examines how routine encounters—both insignificant and life-altering—create lasting effects across time. Developed by TOI TOI and helmed by director Petra Sant, The Archive showcases theatre's capacity to illuminate the human condition.
