Private Tour of Teatru Manoel – Members’ Event

Heritage Malta cordially welcomes its valued members to an exclusive morning experience on Saturday, 27th June 2026, featuring a special guided tour of the magnificent Teatru Manoel, the country's premier theatre located in Valletta's historic core, running from 10:30am to 11:30am. Participants will uncover the fascinating history of this venerable European performing arts venue, where resonant echoes of centuries past—filled with musical performances, theatrical drama, and enthusiastic audiences—continue to reverberate through its ornate galleries. Cherished locally as "Il-Manoel," this remarkable Baroque structure was completed in merely ten months during 1731 and stands as a distinguished showcase of 18th-century theatrical design throughout the continent. Initiated by Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena with the vision of providing "honest entertainment for the people," the establishment has functioned as a dynamic cultural hub for almost three hundred years. Presented through a partnership with Grand Tour Malta, this engaging guided experience will be conducted by artist and certified guide Jeremy Grech, performing as Monsieur Baroque, whose engaging presentation style and profound knowledge of Malta's cultural heritage enliven the narrative.
