Mistero Buffo

TOI TOI Classics brings to the stage Dario Fo's landmark work, reimagined by Rhum+Clay as an audacious and forceful statement on behalf of society's forgotten communities. The story follows a peripatetic performer—a precarious worker racing between gig assignments—who breaks away from his final shift to share unconventional renderings of biblical narratives centered on Jesus. These retellings depart radically from conventional interpretations. Blending dark humor with moments of poignancy and uncompromising social critique, Mistero Buffo exposes those who exploit narrative and faith as instruments of power and subjugation. Featuring acclaimed performer Julian Spooner. Helmed by Nick Pitt.
