(LOW AVAILABILITY) – Summer Solstice Mnajdra
Heritage Malta cordially welcomes you to celebrate the arrival of summer in an extraordinary manner across June 20th through 22nd, 2026, coinciding with the Summer Solstice at Mnajdra. During this period, the earliest sunlight illuminates the perimeter of a standing stone located within the initial set of rooms of the South Structure at Mnajdra, an ancient burial complex constructed during the 4th and 3rd millennia BC. Given that these structures were erected by agricultural societies whose survival hinged upon farming practices, the progression of seasons likely held profound cultural importance and probably functioned as occasions for community assemblies and ceremonial activities. In addition to witnessing this celestial alignment, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided exploration of the Mnajdra site. Following the guided tour, complimentary refreshments will be served to all participants at the Visitor Centre. To ensure every visitor can fully appreciate the occasion, ticket availability has been deliberately restricted. Admission is €35 per individual, with a reduced rate of €25 for Heritage Malta members, available for purchase at Heritage Malta locations and through their online platform.
