Christmas at the Museum 2026
Heritage Malta welcomes you to a day-long celebration on Sunday, 6th December 2026, between 11am and 8pm at the National Museum of Natural History situated in Mdina's historic centre. This family-oriented festive gathering showcases the museum within the stunning Palazzo Vilhena, offering visitors an entirely fresh perspective on the venue and its collections. Christmas at the Museum seamlessly blends natural history, cultural heritage, and seasonal charm into an unforgettable celebration. The impressive Baroque structure will be adorned with holiday embellishments, while its elegant courtyard becomes a lively hub featuring live performances, festive melodies, and seasonal refreshments. Young visitors can meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes, participate in creative sessions decorating baubles and cookies from 3.30pm until 6.30pm, and enjoy festive face painting provided by Santa's team of helpers. The beloved Fonzu l-Fenek character will make a special appearance starting at 2.30pm. Beyond the seasonal festivities, guests can also explore and appreciate the museum's remarkable collections.
