Ta’ Mintna – Special Opening

Join Heritage Malta on Sunday, 25th October 2026, for a specialist-guided exploration of Ta' Mintna Catacombs. This curated experience allows guests to investigate the underground complex while gaining insights into its archaeological importance, interment customs, and cultural heritage. The site features several striking structural elements, particularly within the main chamber, which showcases an exceptionally intact rock-carved dining platform used for ritual feasts alongside two tiers of pyramid-shaped recesses for lighting fixtures. The two adjoining chambers display distinctive embellished window burial chambers. Two guided sessions are available: one at 9:00am conducted in English (Fully Booked) and another at 12:00pm in Maltese (Fully Booked). Limited to just 10 visitors per tour, these experiences provide an intimate and comprehensive engagement with the archaeological site. General public access to the catacombs will also be available.
