(LOW AVAILABILITY) Set in Stone

Children aged 8 and above are welcome to join Set in Stone, a component of the Student Summer Programme taking place on 7th September at 10:00am in the Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park. The experience commences with an informative tour throughout the Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park, enabling attendees to examine the intricate carvings, artistic elements, and geometric forms that adorn these ancient stone monuments, alongside the natural formations visible in the surrounding terrain. Inspired by what they observe, participants will engage in a practical stone-carving session where they develop and etch their own distinctive design onto stone, exploring both historical stone-working methods and creative techniques. The activity costs €10 per participant and accommodates one supervising adult at no additional charge. Reservations are available through online purchase or at any Heritage Malta venue or location.
