Set in Stone
Children aged 8 and above are welcomed to attend Set in Stone on September 7th at 10:00am as part of the Student Summer Programme. The activity takes place at Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park and combines learning with artistic creation. Participants begin with a guided tour through the archaeological site, observing the intricate carvings, decorative elements, and ornamental details that embellish the ancient megaliths, alongside naturally occurring patterns in the surrounding environment. Following this exploration, young participants engage in a practical stone-carving session where they create and etch their own distinctive motif into stone, developing an appreciation for historical techniques and creative practice. The cost per child is €10 and covers one adult companion. Bookings are available through the online portal or at any Heritage Malta location.
