Pinch a Pot
Participants aged 7 and up are welcome to join Pinch a Pot, a workshop taking place on 14th August between 10:00am and 11:30am at Ġgantija Archaeological Park as part of the Student Summer Programme. Young learners will explore the methods employed by Neolithic potters through hands-on engagement with clay. The session will examine ancient pottery-making practices that existed before the wheel was introduced, allowing children to master traditional hand-shaping and decoration methods. Each participant will fashion and keep their own clay vessel inspired by prehistoric designs. This interactive workshop connects participants directly to the crafts and routines of Neolithic communities. The activity accommodates up to 10 young participants, with each child required to have one adult present. Entry costs €10 per child and covers one supervising adult. You can secure tickets via our online booking system or visit any of our Museums and Sites.
