Paganini to Piazzolla

Violinists Samuel Cutajar and guitarist Kolja Gibbs showcase an eclectic selection spanning Italian baroque works, the passionate and energetic compositions of Paganini, Piazzolla's exploration of tango traditions, alongside rediscovered virtuosic works from Maltese composers Carlo Fiammino and Albert Garzia. Established in London during 2018, Duo Hafdar has built a reputation through numerous performances across both the UK and Malta. Samuel Cutajar has emerged as a dynamic and musically adventurous young Maltese violinist, having recently completed his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He maintains an active freelance career with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia and various other musical groups. Kolja Gibbs is a decorated Australian and German guitarist with an international performance history spanning Germany, the Netherlands, Malta, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Based in Cologne, he pursues a multifaceted career as a performer, composer of arrangements, and instructor.
