Making Meaning: An Interpretation Workshop

Curious about the process behind creating heritage interpretation experiences at archaeological locations? Heritage Malta members and students are welcome to attend a special workshop on Saturday, 5th December 2026 at Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park. During this session, you'll explore alongside experienced site curators how complex historical knowledge is transformed into engaging experiences for visitors. Working collaboratively in small teams, attendees will develop interpretive concepts for a selected element at Ħaġar Qim, followed by group presentations sharing each team's ideas and recommendations with all participants. Beverages and light refreshments will be available throughout the event. Check-in begins at 8:30 am, with the workshop commencing at 9:00 am. This opportunity is restricted to Heritage Malta members and enrolled students only. Booking can be made through www.heritagemalta.mt/store as well as at Heritage Malta museum and site locations.
