Collection in Focus – Prints

Join us on July 22nd between 10am and noon for an interactive session exploring an array of prints housed in MUŻA's National Collection. This workshop welcomes participants aged 14 and over to discover the dynamic field of printmaking through facilitated conversations and hands-on learning. You'll examine fundamental methods including etching, engraving, lithography, and woodcut, discovering how artists throughout history have employed these approaches. The programme also examines printmaking's significance in artistic development, particularly its contribution to spreading concepts, fostering creative innovation, and making visual art more widely available. Participants will develop a stronger understanding of prints as both technical accomplishments and meaningful works of art. Please be aware that this is a standing event requiring movement around the exhibited pieces, though seating will be provided upon request.
