Collection in Focus – Prints
On July 10th, between 10am and 12pm, MUŻA will host an open workshop designed for participants aged 14 and above. The session features an examination of works from the National Collection, providing an in-depth exploration of printmaking across different periods and styles. Attendees will discover fundamental techniques including etching, engraving, lithography, and woodcut through interactive discussion and hands-on learning. The workshop underscores how printmaking has functioned historically as a vital medium for spreading knowledge, fostering creative innovation, and democratizing visual art. Participants will develop enhanced understanding of prints as both sophisticated technical undertakings and compelling artistic statements. The event requires attendees to move throughout the exhibition space to view the artworks, though seating options are provided for those who require them. Booking is available through the online ticketing system or at any Heritage Malta location or museum.
