85th Anniversary of the Decima Flottiglia MAS Attack

This event honours the singular naval assault ever directed at the Maltese Islands, which took place on 26th July 1941. During this historic day, Italy's Decima Flottiglia MAS executed a bold raid targeting shipping in the Grand Harbour as part of Operation Substance. The determined response from Maltese troops stationed at Fort St Elmo and other defensive positions along the coast prevented the attack from succeeding.
